Clinton County's Elderly Services Program - Vote Yes March 6! Renewal Levy - Will not increase your taxes!

Preserve Independence and Dignity
Clinton County’s Elderly Services levy helps our elderly family members and neighbors remain in their own homes. Your support for basic services such as Meals on Wheels and transportation can make the difference between a senior being able to live at home or having to move to a nursing facility. The program helps more than 500 older adults a year.

Save Money on Vital Services
Once in a nursing home, most people quickly deplete their savings. They enroll in Medicaid at a cost to taxpayers that is as much as 12 times the cost of in-home care. (Average $4,137/month for nursing home vs. $318/month for Clinton County Elderly Services Program)

Supported by Taxpayers of Clinton County
The Senior Services levy funds 85% of the cost of the program.  Without the levy, ESP would end. There is no other local substitute. Clinton County voters have shown strong support for this local program and last approved a 1.5-mill levy in November 2007.  The levy currently raises about $1.25 million annually at a cost to homeowners of $47.20 per year, per $100,000 of valuation - or about $3.93 a month. That's a little money doing a lot of good!

We invite you to explore our Web site to learn more about the program and to meet some of the wonderful people and families it serves.
